For example, right now the RH is a bit low (I did not fill up my humidifier), and one (call it H1) reads 43% and the other one (H2) reads 49%. BTW, the two hygrometers I use DO in fact register different values across the spectrum, usually only converging around 50%RH. All the science I don't understand (Bernie Taupin), and don't really need to. I also found the simplest solution here was to simply buy two hygrometers, and it they are close then the reading should be accurate. PS: Room was at 59%RH this morning (heat ran a lot last night.got down to 28 degrees outside) case at 63%RH, both in the low 60's temperature-wise.gonna throw a Zorb-It in there tonight to hopefully bring the RH down a bit and at least get it fairly stable in the case. If they were all pretty far off each other, I would have said WTF, I just wasted $35 on two hygrometers Dunno if that helps, but, that's what I did. While I am sure none of these hygrometers are 'dead on balls accurate' (Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny) I feel they are close enough that I can at least make decisions about whether to humidify or dehumidify my guitar with confidence.
